Join Toast Charcuterie & Wine Bar Owner Niki Franklin for this fun class and learn how to arrange a beautiful and delicious charcuterie board of your own. You’ll receive your own meats, cheeses, and accompaniments, then will learn board arrangements on your own charcuterie board. The board and food are yours at the end of the night!

ServSafe® Food Production Manager Certification – Course Translator will be available for Spanish speaking students!

The ServSafe® program provides food safety training for food service managers. In this course, you will earn the ServSafe® Food Production Manager certification accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as required by Arkansas Food Safety State Regulations and Arkansas Department of Health. Textbook and exam voucher are included in the cost, and participants who pass the exam will receive a ServSafe Food Production Manager Certification good for five years. ASU Mid-South is excited to bring this service to local restaurants and food service providers*

Italian Cooking Class: Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

Join local chef and Certified Culinary Arts Instructor Willis Green for an evening in the kitchen learning to make your own three-course Italian dinner! You’ll enjoy a menu of chicken fettucine Alfredo, sautéed spinach, and brownies from scratch. You’ll prepare your meal step-by-step, and sit down to enjoy dinner at the end of the evening – leave the clean up to us! We will also provide recipe cards and boxes for leftovers.

This course is designed for the general public and/or healthcare providers who are seeking to be certified or recertified in American Heart Association CPR* at the Basic Life Support level. Forklift Operations Certification

This course provides individuals with knowledge and skills needed to operate a forklift, as required by the OSHA 29 CFR Standard 1910.178 for Powered Industrial Trucks. The course provides instruction and hands-on training related to the operation of industrial forklifts, including inspection, maintenance, controls, stability, safety, and driving.

Cookie Decorating with Ally B

Bring your kids to campus for a cookie decorating class! Your child will learn how to properly fill, hold, and use the frosting bag, and Ally B will demonstrate how to use different icing tips to create unique (and edible!) designs.

Students will be provided with icing, icing bags, tips, & sprinkles, and chocolate chip & sugar cookies will be available for decorating!

Class is intended for children ages 5 and up, and one adult is welcome to stay and watch or assist free of charge.

Local artist Debbie Yen will walk participants through the basics of acrylic painting and collage in this beginner’s art class, and you will create your very own abstract piece of art. Preparing Your Child for Kindergarten

In Preparing Your Child for Kindergarten, ASU Mid-South’s Lead Instructor for Education Lori Forrester will show parents and guardians techniques designed to help their child successfully enter kindergarten. Using common objects found in the home, it will empower parents and professional educators alike to prepare a preschooler to enter kindergarten with a distinct advantage!
Participants will discover how to engage children in playful learning to meet age-appropriate learning targets, and will leave with class materials and instructions so they can continue the playful learning at home, where children learn best from the ones they love. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions.

Beginning Guitar

An introductory course in the fundamentals of guitar playing, designed for the absolute beginner. Students will learn parts of the guitar; tuning techniques;and other basic techniques, chords, and notes. Individual feedback will be provided. Students must provide their own guitars and picks.

Introduction to Acting

This course will cover a brief history of acting with emphasis on scene work leading up to a short monologue and focus on acting techniques of Stanislavski and Robert Cohen. Some memorization is required. Students should wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes.
