Consequently, the Beta Epsilon Psi chapter attempts to recognize and encourage scholarship among the students of Arkansas State University Mid-South and stimulate their interest in academic excellence. The local chapter also attempts to create an intellectual climate for the exchange of ideas and ideals and to assist in building an active fellowship among academic scholars.
Many opportunities exist for members of the Beta Epsilon Psi Chapter to develop leadership skills. Members may be elected to hold officer positions for a one-year term. Leadership development is also encouraged among members who lead appointed task committees towards the fulfillment of service projects within the college and community.
The Beta Epsilon Psi Chapter recognizes the importance of continual academic achievement. To assist in meeting our members’ financial needs, much of our time is devoted to membership awareness programs on monetary scholarship opportunities. These programs are designed to help members worry less about financial burdens of the college life and to help members concentrate more on the achievement of one’s academic goals at college. Phi Theta Kappa’s partners now provide over $37 million in scholarship opportunities which can be applied for through the national website.
