This part-time position reports director to the Registrar and is primarily responsible for managing the Enrollment Services reception desk, answering the Admissions office telephone, and performing clerical duties, including data entry and filing. A work schedule of 29 hours per week, including afternoons up to 5:30PM and occasional evening work hours, is required.
Responsibilities:
1. Support a professional office environment with efficiency, courtesy and customer service, focused on institutional responsiveness to external visitors, students, and co-workers.
2. Route foot traffic from students, vendors and colleagues properly.
3. Answer main Admissions phone line and direct calls appropriately.
4. Enter student documents and data into Ellucian Banner, ASU Mid-South’s student information system, with accuracy, to ensure the integrity of student academic records.
5. Serve as a primary staff member responsible for processing student and Community Patron identification cards.
6. Responsible for keeping Student Admissions forms replenished.
7. Maintain student files and academic records in accordance with stated policies.
8. Respond to internal and external requests in a timely and professional manner.
9. Assist with both new student and concurrent student orientations, registration sessions, and graduation.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications include the formal education equivalent of a high school diploma, working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel, and experience with data entry. The ability to enter data accurately and to muti-task are also requirements of this position. Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree, experience with a Student Information System such as Ellucian Banner, and at least one year of work experience in an educational setting.
