Qualifications: The candidate must hold current certification as an Arkansas EMT Instructor, and/or Advanced EMT-Instructor and/or Paramedic. The preferred candidate will have two years EMT-B , and/or Advanced EMT and/or Paramedic instructor experience as well as two years as an EMS provider at the level of Basic, Advanced or Paramedic. The candidate must possess the ability to deliver coursework in an online environment using Microsoft Office tools and the college’s learning management system. The candidate must have familiarity with common computer applications; excellent written and oral communication skills; evidence of ongoing commitment to professional development and to student learning.
Responsibilities: Reports to the Lead Instructor for EMS. The candidate is responsible for instruction, curriculum development, and assessment of student learning which includes competencies of the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. The teaching schedule may include day or evening hours. The candidate must attend the College adjunct orientation program prior to the semester of which the candidate is to teach. The candidate will be introduced to the college Canvas computer system which tracks the student throughout the program for obtaining a student profile and portfolio. The candidate’s assignment to teach the class will depend upon enrollment.
•The candidate must provide at least three professional references.
•Preference will be given to those with EMS National Level 1 NAEMSE instructor endorsement.
