This is a 10-month Head Coaching Position with limited college benefits, but could be combined with another position to make it full-time with full college benefits, depending on qualifications and positions available.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, preferably with some hours in physical education or a related field, with previous experience as a coach or assistant coach. Excellent communication and computer skills and a verifiable clean driving record required. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education, coaching and/or playing experience at the college level, previous recruiting experience and knowledge of National Junior College Athletic Association rules.
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Expectations as Head Softball Coach include, but are not limited to, development and implementation of a successful intercollegiate women’s softball program. Responsibilities include all aspects of recruiting and retention of student-athletes, compiling and reporting game statistics, budget management, adherence to institutional and NJCAA rules and regulations, supporting the vision of the ASU Mid-South Athletic Department, and other duties as assigned. This position must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and boosters while interacting successfully with department personnel and the College community.
SALARY: Minimum $10,000.00 stipend, but can be combined with another position for a full-time salary, commensurate with credentials and experience.
