Qualifications: College hours required, preference given to candidates with an Associate’s degree. Experience in educational setting preferred. Background similar or experience with disadvantaged students required. Working knowledge of Microsoft applications programs, including Outlook, Excel, Access, and data entry is essential. Must have the ability to extract and organize information.
Immediate Supervisor: The TRiO SSS Admin Specialist reports directly to the Director of Student Support Services.
General Job Description: The TRiO SSS Admin Specialist will perform clerical duties and will be responsible for creating and maintaining program databases.
Responsibilities:
1. Supports a professional office environment of efficiency, courtesy and customer service in support of institutional responsiveness to external visitors, students, and co-workers.
2. Maintain program databases. Performs data entry for the TRiO SSS database ensuring accuracy and timeliness of entries in relation to the goals, objectives and activities of the program.
3. Provides general clerical support for TRiO SSS including; taking minutes at staff and other program meetings; preparing requisitions, internal supply requests, and travel documents; maintaining the SSS events calendar; and assisting with the preparation of grant reports. Ensure that the Student Support Services Resource Manual (SSSRM) is updated in a timely manner. Maintain TRiO SSS Calendar of Events and ensure that emails are sent to participants and faculty on a weekly basis advertising each event.
5. Engages in professional development which enhances job performance and growth.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Hours: The Admin Specialist is a part-time (28 hours a week) position with hours of 8:00-1:00 M-F.
Pay Rate: $11.00/hour
