In this workshop, Procurement Counselor Debra Garcia will provide an overview of what businesses can expect when starting off in the government marketplace. She will explain how businesses can diversify their revenues and customer base by expanding into sales to the government. This presentation covers federal, state, and local procurement processes; registration requirements; the role of certifications; sales and marketing strategies; and steps you can take now to begin positioning yourself for eventual success in the government marketplace.
Debra Garcia is a Professional Community & Economic Developer (PCED), a Certified Verification Assistance Counselor (CVA), and a Certified Procurement Professional (CPP). She has over 12 years of Community and Economic Development experience, and over 24 years of Grant and Contract Management experience.
