Explore your future career options and earn while you learn! Our interns receive a competitive hourly wage and gain work related experience.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be enrolled at ASU Mid-South for Fall 2022 Term.
- 0+ GPA (2.5+ considered with Faculty recommendations)
- Student must have the ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours/ week (29 hours/week maximum) for the full semester.
- Must have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours of course work, 45 hours if pursuing for academic credit.
- Completed Career Prep and earned a grade of C or higher within the last 12 months or be willing to complete workplace-ready training requirements.

Assistance with Child Expenses
Career Pathways
Are you thinking about furthering your education or job training? Are you the custodial or noncustodial parent of a child under the age of 21? The Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative can help you with tuition and support for related expenses.
Eligibility Requirements:
- CPI serves custodial and noncustodial parents of children under the age of 21. This includes parents who are or have been involved in the justice system and minor parents between the ages of 18-24.
- Participants must be an Arkansas resident and be the parent or legal guardian of a child under 21 in the home.
- Some income restrictions apply and services based on need, and subject to available funding.
- Education Pays Subject to further income guidelines
- Career Pathways serves current and prospective ASU Mid-South students, as well as Adult Education students and Arkansas State University degree center nursing students.

Student Emergency Fund
Explore – Project Success Student Emergency Fund
Arkansas State University Mid-South’s emergency financial assistance program provides assistance to students at risk of dropping out of college due to unexpected financial emergencies. This assistance was created to help students stay in college and meet their educational goals, ultimately, securing a better financial future.
Eligibility Requirements
• Student must be a degree-seeking student.
• Student must be currently enrolled in ASU Mid-South classes.
• Student must meet ASU Mid-South’s academic requirements.
• Documentation will need to be provided of the financial emergency (i.e. invoice, billing statement).
(Note: Application approvals are dependent on availability of funds.)

Child Development Support
Home Visiting Services – Parents as Teachers
Home Visiting Services (HVS) is a home visiting model that provides support to families in the first years of their child’s life. The program uses the Parents As Teachers (PAT) curriculum to assist families with children from the prenatal stage until the child’s 3rd birthday.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Families living in Crittenden County with children from prenatal-to 3rd birthday.
What is Available?
• Families receive individualized visits 2x month that focus on parent/child interaction, child development.
• Families are assessed for any needs, children assessed to identify any areas of need, referrals made as needed. Families are connected to community resources.
• Monthly Group Connection meetings that provide information or opportunities for parent/child interaction.
• Certain needed items as available, to eligible families .
