Full-Time, Grant-Funded Position
(From the present until October 2026)
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s in Education or related field required, + min. 3 years experience with higher education advising, counseling, or mentoring; Master’s degree in Counseling, Education, or related field + min. 1 year experience preferred
· Instructional experience
· Minimum 3 years experience working with low-income, minority, and disadvantaged students
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Ability to collect, organize, and analyze satisfaction data
· Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Low-income, first-generation in college, and/or minority background preferred
Responsibilities:
The Success Coach will assist the Student Success Specialist in developing new Strategies for the new, “Strategies for Success Course.” In addition, the Student Success Coach will assist the Student Success Specialist in making coaching videos for faculty, students, and staff addressing FAQs regarding remote learning, assist in developing support webpages for faculty/staff and students, pilot redesigned success coaching services, providing frequent academic and personal guidance to a caseload of 60 students each (Years 2-5) and serving as an instructor for the Strategies for Success course. Finally, the Success Coach will communicate regularly with students face-to-face and digitally while monitoring and evaluating the quality of and satisfaction with coaching and adjust accordingly.
Salary: $37,500, depending upon credentials and experience, with full college benefits.
